I bought this because for some reason I couldn't get my Wii connected wirelessly. I don't know why that is because we do have a wireless modem. But all the same with this I was able to hook my system up with my LAN line and was able to get online. So I think it was worth it because there were games over the network that I wanted to buy.

The cable that came with it was just bonus =D. But anyway this thing is really awesome.

Nothing really exciting about it. Wanted to attach the Wii to a router for downloading movies/tv shows from Netflix. It does that, and is easy to hook up. (While I'm reasonably tech savvy I don't have an abundance of patience. I want to plug in and go). The price seemed reasonable.
