When I first got it I thought it looked pretty cool, but quickly realized that this is a very cheap phone.

It requires 3 AA batteries and seems to chew through them pretty quickly.

The talking caller ID is kind of nice, but when another phone is in use, the phone picks up voice as numbers and just randomly speaks them out. It's very annoying.

With this phone you get what you pay for. I would not get this phone again, even if it was free.

This phone looks cool, and appears to have great features. However, it does not come with instructions, and the computer circuitry is terrible and very quickly loses the date, and there is no way to reset it (yes, new batteries were tried, to no avail). In addition, as the computer malfunctioned, the speakerphone and other buttons stopped working.

If you want a paperweight, but not a telephone, this is probably a good buy; otherwise, this is a piece of junk.

The speaker phone on it doesn't work. It produces a shrill noise (on speakerphone only) if conneted to the phone socket in DSL adapters. I thought it was the phone and exchanged it at rite-aid twice, and still the same problem. Cheap construction. I guess this dsl adapter issue is a bug that they can't fix, so they're selling it for 9 bucks.

If you don't care about the speakerphone, then it's ok for the price. Very cute for a nice contemporary living room. The caller id annoucements are good.
