Hand-crafted here in the US of extremely strong, durable and beautiful organic Romanian hemp fabric. The curtain will stop water from spraying outside your shower without a plastic liner. This keeps unnatural plastics out of our landfills. The shower curtain will get wet, but will not leak through. The hemp shower curtain will rapidly air dry which slows mold growth associated with plastic liners. Our hemp shower curtain has a natural resistance to mildew and bacteria and can be machine washed to clean any grime buildup. After machine washing simply hang the curtain up to dry, any wrinkles will disappear during showering. We use sturdy and rustproof grommets which will enable your curtain to last for years. Size: 72 x 72" (cut larger to allow for shrinkage - final size 72 x 72").

This is the only shower curtain I've found that really works to keep the water in the shower and is completely natural and biodegradable. The only issue I've had is that it tends to get mildew. I recommend buying a natural mildew spray to spray on daily. Follow the instructions to wash the curtain weekly and use an oxygen cleaner and white vinegar every wash. If you do get mildew stains, try mixing equal parts oxygen cleaner and hydrogen peroxide in a bowl and rubbing this in to the stain with an old toothbrush. Spraying on lemon juice can also help.

This curtain does the job -- keeps water contained in the shower/tub, and dries quickly, without any off-gassing or odors you might find with a plastic/vinyl curtain.

But as another reviewer said, it does develop black mildew spots on the bottom over time. Also, when it's dry, the edges roll up a bit. But as soon as you turn on the shower, the edges smooth out and create a good seal. Good curtain overall.

I've had my organic hemp shower curtain now for a few weeks and I love it. It dries quickly, keeps my bathroom dry during showers and it's good for the environment. What else can you ask for in a shower curtain?
