The finishing touch is Novation's unique ‘speed dial'; a touch-sensitive rotary encoder that instantly takes control of whatever your mouse is focused on! Featuring a revolutionary new 'heads-up transparent control GUI', Automap Universal 2.0 places a transparent control map across your computer screen, to be recalled or hidden at will. Little or no user setup is required and plug-in control can be exactly the way you want it, no matter what music software you use. Just boot up the plug-in and you'll see at a glance how the parameters are automatically assigned to each of Nocturn's controls. An instant click and control ‘learn' function is also available for quick re-assigning of controls, or for creating your own controller map in seconds. i bought the nocturn to have full control [w/ a crossfader] of my serato dj/vj video setup, since i don't use the rane ttm57. it works perfectly, but the one thing i don't care for is the fact that you HAVE to run the novation software to have it work, rather than just being upnp w/o having to run the sw in the background. it doesn't effect performance in any way, but it'd still be better imo if it wasn't a must to have to run it. i'd recommend this compact and inexpensive controller to anyone running realtime controls for serato, ableton, or any other audio/video dj/live stage shows, as it has a very small footprint, and works perfectly once you have it midi mapped.
