I have now used this product for 4-6 weeks with great, consistent success and no noticeable side effects. My doctor told me that I needed to get my fasting blood sugar (FBS) under 100 about 15 months ago. I have been working on this problem ever since and nothing was working for me. Meanwhile, my FBS readings continued to creep ever higher! Finally learned about Banaba Leaf, did some research, ordered this product and voila! From almost the first dose, my FBS dropped almost 30 points. I take one capsule before bed and another one about 12 hrs later, roughly at lunchtime. My energy is up, productivity is up, mood swings are almost gone, I wake up refreshed and energized vs. that groggy "can't wake up" state that indicates high blood sugar during the overnight fast.

Important factors concerning Paradise Herbs Banaba Leaf that matter to me:

1. The standardized extract of corosolic acid (active ingredient) is 1.5% in this product, which correlates to the dosage commonly used in studies and trials. I have seen some products based on extracts as high as 18%, which seems a bit extreme to me.

2. This is a whole leaf product. Many products are corosolic extract ONLY and my impression from reading the studies is that while the active ingredient is important, there is added value for glucose control in the other constituents of the leaf/plant.

3. Ethically grown or wild-crafted source. No pesticides, chemical fertilizers, or preservatives.

4. No fillers, binders, or secret ingredients. No allergen sources in product.

I have taken this product for about two weeks and my sugar readings have dropped about 10%. My readings were upper 90s to low 100s in the morning and mid 80's and 90's in the afternoon. My readings are now low 90s in the morining and low 80's in the afternoon. I still workout regularly and cut back on fattening foods. I take only one capsule daily in the morning. I have taken this product for about two weeks.
