Don't get me wrong, this version does not match the raw emotion of the original version from their latest effort "Who We Are." But it does do what it is intended to do I feel, which is to introduce the song to the masses via radio airplay without ruining the "core" of the song. Wade's distinct raspy voice is in full force and the boys behind him do a nice job of cranking up the guitar and drum beats to match his intensity vs the low key lyric intensive focus of the original. You're doing yourself a disservice by not also owning the original, but for the casual listener, I think this version more than suffices.

OK I have this album and have listened to the original version a lot of times and also I have gone to three live performance of Lifehouse.... And let me tell you that this radio version is kind of a mix of both, original and live versions...

If you are not in the mood of cutting your veins probably you won't be very much into the original version, but even if you are in a very very defensive mood, if you listen to the live version it will really hit your world.... Now this radio version is exactly what Lifehouse needs to fit into more people tastes, it has the original creativity plus a little of the live version to get inside people minds, and well... this is what it is all about.... If Lifehouse wanted just to please hard core fans... well there would be no reason in making a new single since we all probably own a copy of the album... What we need is them to be more known (famous) so they can continue releasing new incredible material right???? We don't want them to hit the ground like Bush did.... Now the singer Gavin is really out of place of what he was doing with Bush.... And it is a shame...
