Product Description
John Singer Sargent (1856-1925) was born in Italy to American expatriates, began his career in France, established it in England, and earned his greatest acclaim in the United States. His interest in the effects of light and in the psychology of modern life eventually led him to explore Impressionism, and he became one of its important advocates. This calendar presents twelve beautiful Sargent images, among them The Daughters of Edward Darley Boit, Simplon Pass: Reading, Fishing for Oysters at Cancale, Helen Sears, Corfu: Lights and Shadows, and An Artist in His Studio.
