This is an excellent, quality amp for the money (iPOD, iTOUCH, iPHONE, etc.). The sound really comes to life when you switch on the 'SRS bass expander'! There is no audible distortion, with excellent detail throughout the audio spectrum, and a good sized soundstage for a small, portable product like this. Bass is excellent as well. Many other products with 'bass expanders' don't sound nearly as good as this product. It even has 2 little stands that swivel out so the product can stand upright on a desk or table, which is a very nice touch. As an audiophile and stickler for good quality, I am quite pleased with this iPOD stereo amplifier. It delivers great sound and great value for the money.

Note that this doesn't come with a plug to the wall. You must buy that separate, and you will need it because this machine DRAINS batteries so fast. The sound is just a bit below ok. I listen to mostly radio talk shows and alternative and music so I think that there is too much bass in the sound (and that is without the bass booster switch.) If you want bass, then you may like the sound.

I bought one of these and made up a little hanger......and hang it from the lifelines on my 18 ft sailboat.

So far it has lasted two years and some very rough weather. I expect it to last another year or more, giving a very good value for $20 or so.
