5.0 out of 5 stars Free Music From The End, September 12, 2008
By Isaac "Goadiroth" (Los Angeles, CA) - See all my reviews
Here we have a great compilation showcasing some of what the current bands have to offer from this Brooklyn-based record label (bringers of Agalloch, Sigh, Unexpect, Arcturus, The Gathering, Early Man, etc.). It's got a good spread of different styles of music, spanning from doom metal growling, to some beautiful female vocals, to arena rock from Lordi. Open up your mind and embrace the music!

4.0 out of 5 stars Some pretty interesting stuff, September 18, 2008
Pretty awesome collection of free songs. A good way to check out some of The End's artists. Can't say everything was up my alley but there's definitely a lot of really varied and original stuff so i'm sure there's a little something for everybody. My personal favs would be: Ulver, Nadja, Jarboe, Agalloch, Dissection, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum

4.0 out of 5 stars Anything Free Is Worth Saving Up For, September 15, 2008
This album is a steal being free. It contains some varied and unique music from one of my favorite labes, The End Records. It contains bands who have had some commercial success like Lordi and MSI. It also has some creative unique metal bands rarely known outside of metal circles like Made Out of Babies, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Virgin Black, Ulver and Dissection. As well as some atmospheric music from Nadja, Kosmos and others. This is well worth the time to listen if you can appreciate music leaning into the avant-garde end of music, with the exception of Lordi which is just more of the same. This cd is a breath of fresh air in a world of commercialized music made purely with the intention to sell.

1.0 out of 5 stars No Wonder It Is Free
The whole cd in my opinion was just awful. With the exception of track number 9 which sounded unique and could hit the air waves. But, for free how can you b*tch!
