The TV includes a coaxial input for cable and satellite reception, RCA jacks for other video sources such as a DVD player, and both integrated stereo speakers and a 2.5 mm headphone jack for headphones. As a bonus, the Ascender incorporates over-screen display (OSD) technology into the display, so you don't need to look away from the program to keep track of your workout progress. If you find it distracting to look at both sets of info, you can toggle back and forth between the TV program and the workout feedback. Best of all, the easy-to-read display keeps track of all the necessary information, including your speed, time, rpm, distance, watts, calories, pulse, and workout level.
Users on a strict training regimen will love the built-in software, which monitors your body fat percentage and BMI, helping you stay on track with your fitness goals. The Ascender's 19 built-in workout programs, meanwhile, include 12 preset programs, four heart rate control programs, one custom program, one watt control program, and one pulse recovery program. And to improve your workout efficiency, Ironman mounted EKG pulse grips on the handlebars, letting you monitor your heart rate and keep your workouts safe and effective.
