There are 2 adjustable shelves to accommodate various component heights as well as 2 center drawers with metal sides for storing media and accessories. It combines laminated composite wood components with solid wood legs to create a product that is stylish yet affordable. The furniture style MDF backer has cutouts for ventilation and cables. Other features include solid brushed nickel knobs and rounded edges on the MDF top and drawer fronts.

This is a fairly attractive unit with plenty of storage space that cleverly hides unsightly dvds, etc. The stand seems plenty sturdy for my 52" Bravia LCD but I'd question whether or not it could handle a full 60" screen as the name implies.

The build is typical of this price range (MDF/Press Board) and comes with annoying fasteners...which I fully expected prior to buying. One of the doors wouldn't actually close all the way for some reason so I purchased a stronger magnet ($1.39) from a hardware store and it works fine now. I also opted not to use the included feet for the stand to provide extra support; but it's nice to have that option.

Once it's together it looks rather nice and does the job quite well. However, you get what you pay for. Expect to spend a few hours putting it together and it may ding/chip easily. Bottom line, a hard value to beat at the bargain price of $267 (incl tax/shipping).

I really like this stand. I've received numerous comments about it. A few people thought I was purposely trying to make a retro or 70's statement. Ha! I read from other reviews that it is difficult to assemble so I paid my handyman $50 to assemble it. Money well spent IMO. I've had no problems so far and I'm very pleased with both the stand and the price.

I agree with the previous reviews with one additional note, and it is NOT anything major that can't be easily fixed. The door shelves do not have any sort of cross bar to prevent whatever media you put on those shelves from coming off when the door is being opened or closed. A 1 to 1.5" slat (painted black) and affixed to both the movable shelf and the bottom fixed shelf will correct this short-coming of design. Other than that, excellent unit for the price!
