Great for large very hot pots. Easy to rinse or throw in the dishwasher. Good pads to set hot dishes on, no heat gets through at all. They bend easily with the ribs, but harder to bend the other way. They are a little bit harder to handle than a cloth pot holder.

We have several of the silicone pads or trivets that we use often to set hot plates on at the table or hot pots on the counter. Although we use them a lot, they aren't really useful for handling hot items because they are fairly stiff.

This wonderful pad/grip is extremely flexible, making it very useful.
The shape lends itself to use as a grip for hot pans too.
