Very nice watch!, November 24, 2009
This review is from: Fossil Men's ME3003 Stainless Steel Skeleton Dial Automatic Watch (Watch)
I really like this watch. It is more "dressy" then casual. So if you are looking for an everyday watch, this is not it, unless you dress nice daily. You will have to keep it moving or wound to keep it going, this should be realized. I have no problem with this, but others do. I would buy this watch for anyone who was looking.

Cool Watch That's Not Quite for Everyone, March 4, 2010
This review is from: Fossil Men's ME3003 Stainless Steel Skeleton Dial Automatic Watch (Watch)
I agree with the previous reviewers that the watch does indeed have a great look and feel to it. It's quite mesmerizing being able to see its guts in action, whether peering at it from its face side or its back.
My only complaint is with keeping the sucker wound. No matter how much I walked around with it, swinging my arm and quickly twisting my wrist back and forth to wind it, I just couldn't keep it wound for more than a few minutes. After 10 or so minutes would pass, I'd look down at what, for all intents and purposes, looked like a broken watch. Of course, I could easily tell at what time the thing died, LOL.
So, besides the fact that you have to be vigilant about keeping it wound, be it manually or by your bodily movements, I find this model to be a really sharp watch. Just be careful and do NOT drop it! I dropped it flat on its back from wrist height, and the hour hand popped right off. Since I had just bought it the day before at the Fossil Outlet, I was able to send it to a maintenance center for a free repair, minus shipping (the Outlet was way out of town). The lesson here? Keep your receipts handy, kids.

Two week since purchased-- Impressions, March 25, 2009
I purchased my watch two weeks ago and have been wearing it pretty much daily. It somewhat replaced my previous watch, a solar-powered, atomic Timex (not sure on brand, don't have it here). Retail price $175
Pros:
Skeleton, you can see it working! and how much spring is left
Winds by either cranking the small wheel or moving your body.
Looks nice!
Once fully wound, spring has enough for 48hrs of timekeeping
Cons:
Pretty much a dress watch only
Doesn't provide date
Doesn't have any glow or backlight
Hands are black on black dial and are hard to see in good light
This is a good second watch for someone that wants something nice for dress but I don't recommend as a daily wear.
