Called the "It bag of the future" by Teen Vogue, this stylish and ridiculously practical bag (sold in packages of 3 and 6) is one easy step in helping save the planet. Baggu ("bag" in Japanese) is machine washable, and folds up into it's own pouch small enough to tuck into your handbag or pocket. Made of super-tough ripstop nylon in bright, fun colors, it's the re-usable bag that's eco-chic.

Why Baggus are so great? You want to replace your old friends--the paper & plastic bags--with something that does their job without creating needless waste or harming the environment. Using one Baggu for one year replaces 300 to 700 disposable bags.

One Baggu holds the contents of 2 to 3 plastic grocery bags; Six bags can hold a whole cart full of groceries.
Baggu Bag handles are the perfect length: you can hold them in your hand, on your forearm, or over your shoulder.
They are made from strong rip-stop nylon weighing only 2 oz. and can carry up to 25 lbs. They fold into a flat 5 by 5 inch pouch that easily slips in a purse or pocket; that way they are always handy when you need them.
Baggu bags have a nice big gusset in the bottom so they will sit flat when they are filled (good for eggs & milk).

Plastic Bags & the Planet
The average family brings home 1,000 bags every year. Most of those bags end up in land fills. That really adds up - 100 billion plastic bags are sent to landfill in the US each year.

In landfills, it can take up to 1000 years for a bag to decompose. Plastics don't biodegrade, they photo-degrade, breaking down into tiny toxic pieces that contaminate soil and water or harm wildlife.

These bags are excellent! This set will get you through most trips to any store. I throw them in my purse and pull them out at the counter. They hold a ton. If you're a family of four...they should fit all of your groceries, including the huge sized apple juice you need for a busy two year old. All of my friends love them and several have bought their own after seeing mine!

This product works good and is a good size but others are better. I also bought the RuMe bags and they are better. With no seperate bag to contend with the RuMe bags are more convient and are a better color/pattern. If given Baggu bags I would use them but would not purchace more.

I love Baggu's. My friend got one a long time ago, and I've always wanted one. Finally decided to purchase some for myself. So Versatile, I can take my lunch to work in one, keep another in my purse for "just in case" and leave the 3rd in the trunk of my car for groceries. (I just downsized from a jeep to a car with a small trunk, can't use those bulky giveaway reuseable bags anymore, just no room! I've already had several people ask me about my bag and I proudly tell them its a Baggu! And yes it sucks paying for a bag, but it is so very worth it!
