this is the best mister on the market because it has a glass base. I had the Misto for a little over a year but the oil was starting to wear on the plastic parts and discolor, so i bought a prepara mister. It rocks. You can also sterilize it with boiling water- which you can not do with the Misto. It also looks great on the kitchen counter.

Mister purchased for my wife specifically. We normally use a spray oil for our cooking. Our nutritionally correct daughter mandated we use something else. So this is why we are trying the mister. So far it has done exactly as advertised. We have loaded it with olive oil, have used it everyday for cooking and just to spray on salad. We do recommend this product and will purchase another for sisters and friends.

I have had no problems with this item. It works fine, but if you pump it up for the number of times the instructions say, it just doesn't spray for a long enough time to complete the job. And I do not like to over oil the items I am using this with. Perhaps if it was a little larger, more air could be compressed and we could get the salt to stick to the popcorn without pumping it up 3 times. That's why it gets only 4 stars. But if all you need to do is mist a bread pan to make some banana bread - it'll do that just fine.
