This fan is real show stopper.

Expensive - YES... but very well built, quiet, and HEAVY.

We purchased over $2,000 in Casablanca fans including an S3 model. The fan was used intermittently for about 1 year and then failed. Their website service locator pointed me to retailers but no-one in my area (Sacramento CA) who could service/repair the fan. We called their customer care number (1-888-227-2178) and was put on hold for over 30 minutes before a service representative could talk to us. They advised that we replace the receiver module in the fan. We paid $68 for the service module - the installation instructions were out dated showing components that were no longer used in current S3 models. I ended calling Casablanca customer care 2 more times to find out the correct way to install the receiver module. When it was eventually installed the fan still did not work properly. I had an electrician look at it and could not find any installation problems. Six weeks later, and its 114 deg. outside and our fan still does not work. My wife and I are going to un-install the fan and return it to Casablanca for them to deal with directly. So unless you want a lot of trouble with a profoundly inferior product I beg you not to purchase any of their fans. Thank you
