Product Description

Daily Dose is just what the Doctor Ordered! Written by an Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society member & internal medicine physician, Daily Dose delivers a medical fact a day straight to your Kindle. Most medical professionals strive to stay current in their medical knowledge and Daily Dose is here to help you along the way!

Facts will range the gamut of medical knowledge, from lab tests and their uses to patient management and diagnosis. Nurses, medical students, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, residents, and physicians will all enjoy getting a medical tidbit daily. And even though Daily Dose caters to those in the healthcare professions, it can be enjoyable to anyone with an interest in medicine and health.

Studying for the USMLE, shelf exams, and specialty boards has never been more fun with Daily Dose!

*Please do not use Daily Dose as a substitute for your own medical judgement. Non-healthcare professionals are encouraged to not use Daily Dose to diagnose or treat themselves but to instead see their own physician.*

Kindle blogs are fully downloaded onto your Kindle so you can read them even when you're not wirelessly connected. And unlike RSS readers which often only provide headlines, blogs on Kindle give you full text content and images, and are updated wirelessly throughout the day.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great daily blog!, July 16, 2010
This review is from: Daily Dose Of Medical Knowledge (Kindle Edition)
I came across this blog by accident while looking up other medical journals and books. While I wasn't sure that a blog would be my style, this one has truly impressed. It is definitely more geared toward medical professionals no matter if you're a nurse, NP, PA, or doctor. The details of the daily information is broad-based and excellent for any professional who wants to keep their mind fresh on a wide-range of topics. This NP highly recommends it.

I really appreciate the knowledge that this blog has to offer. The only reason it's not 5 stars is...WHERE IS IT?? Last download I got was March 22, and nothing since then. Before that, I was getting updates every 2-3 days.

It's really a great quick source of information, with some interesting tidbits. I really think it's great and miss it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Not Inactive, But Rather Technical, February 28, 2010
This review is from: Daily Dose Of Medical Knowledge (Kindle Edition)
As someone who subscribes to these blogs via Kindle before writing reviews of them (at The Kindle Blog Report) I can tell you that this blog is not inactive. Admittedly, for the life of me I can't find the actual web address for the blog (the Brim url indeed does stop updating in November 2009) but via the Kindle, I'm still getting updates.

Feb 26 was Mechanism of Acetazolamide, the day before that was MRSA and Rifampin, the day before that Young Patient with Shingles, the day before that Blood Transfusions.

This blog is not for the layperson, but rather for those individuals with some degree of medical knowledge, be it pharmacists or nurses or doctors.

As such, from *wherever* it comes from, highly recommended for that niche.
