I gave this a 3-stars purely for the cute factor. If you're a Star Wars nerd (or married to one like me), then this costume rocks no matter how badly it fits! We got a TON of comments on it... and saw quite a few little Yoda's and Darth's while we were out too.

My daughter was exactly 10-months-old on Halloween and was short (25th percentile) and VERY fat (97th percentile). At the time she was well into 12M clothes and could only wear stretchy pants to accommodate the thunder thighs. So I was really nervous about ordering something with super vague sizing like this.

The hair was MASSIVE on her. I ended up sewing an elastic chin strap on it to keep the hair on her head. I had to roll it up too to keep it from falling into her eyes. It pretty much looked like a floppy brown hat instead of "hair". If I had more time & more sewing skills I'd probably rip it apart and cut a few inches off of it.

The dress also was VERY, VERY long on her. At least 3 inches past her fingertips and toes. It worked out OK for us because we live in Ohio and it was cold so we could bundle her up underneath and not be able to tell she was practically wearing a snowsuit. She also wasn't even crawling, let alone walking at the time so we didn't have to worry about the bulk tripping her up.

But oddly enough the belt was about 6 inches too small. Seriously, it was ridiculous how small (circumference) this thing was... it would fit a 3-month old, tops. So again with the elastic. I sewed on a piece to make it a stretchy belt and just slid it over top.

As far as quality goes, it's very, very thin fleece. Almost looks like felt. You could have even the most elementary of sewing skills and be able to make this yourself. No lining, no detail or anything. You could whip this up in a half hour. I kind of feel ridiculous spending the money that I did on this because I could have SO easily made it, even with my pathetic sewing skills. And it would have fit my daughter a lot better.

But I'm a lazy, rather frazzled first-time mom so it was worth the money for the convenience & the cute factor.

This costume was supper cute. My daughter got a lot of compliments. However, I had to do a lot of alteration. 1. The headpiece was too loose. I was surprised since she has a big head for her age. I had to add a snap button at the back so the headpiece would stay in place. 2. The sleeves were way too long. I had to shorten it. 3. The waist band too tight. I had to add an extender. She's skinny for her age, can't imagine a heavier baby fitting into it. After the alteration, she looked fantastic!
