The Simpsons 3 Seasons 2005

Season 1
4.8 out of 5 stars (63) IMDb 8.8/10

The Simpsons' annual Treehouse of Horror has become as much a part of Halloween as tricks or treats and bobbing for apples. This collection includes the first ever Halloween-themed Simpsons episode, including the Twilight Zone parody, "Hungry Are the Damned". The collection also features such modern classics as "The Devil and Homer Simpson", where Homer trades his soul to the devil for a donut; "Citizen Kang", where aliens kill both candidates for President in order to take over America; and "Life's a Glitch and then you Die", a terrifying look at the year 21st century--almost as frightening, in fact, as things have actually been. Each spine-tingling spectacular is "funny ha ha", not to mention "funny uh-oh," and taken together they're eighteen of the scariest, most hilarious Simpsons segments of all time. So get your fright on, download these goodies, and make every day Halloween with the Simpsons!

This is the first installment of the treehouse of horror collection. As I said before, my only beef is that the years are staggered. With the first episode being on season one. Then the next years episode on season two and so on. It's a little bit frustrating, especially if you want to watch them in order and you can only buy one.

Back in the olden days, before videos on the Internet or DVRs, my friends and I used to tape The Simpsons. We amassed a collection of Simpsons tapes, which were worth their weight in gold. Nothing on TV? Pop in a Simpsons tape. Too drunk to sleep? Pop in a Simpsons tape. But due to the unpredictability of Fox's rerun schedule, we never had anything as amazing as a THEMED Simpsons tape (we didn't even know which episodes were on each tape--label, schmabel). The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror Collections are therefore like the best Simpsons tape ever. Watching this collection will get you in the mood for Halloween, or remind you why it's never a good idea to eat the forbidden donut. You need it.

It was so easy to "dial" these up on Amazon. Several seconds later we were watching these classic Simpson's Halloween episodes. We had been telling our daughters about them. Like Amazon (we have Prime), they always deliver. Our daughters enjoy them, too, since they, like us, have a warped sense of humor.

I used this episode of the Simpsons to explain parody to some youth that I work with. It's a great show and they understood parody much better after seeing it!

The early Treehouse of Horror episodes pale in comparison to their latter counterparts. Though, it is quite interesting to look back through the years of The Simpsons, these videos are better off missed. At times the comedy and production comes off quite child like. The Treehouse of Horror series is a great one, yet, I would suggest watching the episodes from seasons 6, 7, 8, and 9.

Who would have known over 20 years ago now that the simpsons would not only still be going strong but that the tree house series would be an icon of pop culture! We love sharing these with our kids

I bought this for the spoof of The most dangerous game. Love the literatures spoofs in Treehouse of Horror! My favorite Sinpsona episodes. Decided not to show to my freshmen literature class due to some questionable material but a good episode anyway!

This is definitely a must buy for anyone who loves the Simpsons. If you grew up with them like I did, you might remember the feeling of glee when a new one of these would air. 8 bucks and you can relive some of the greatest episodes from bygone years.
