Product Description

The Dr. Scholls Winder men's casual shoe will help one stay light on their feet. This men's casual shoe has a leather upper. There are dual side elastic gore panels to provide a comfortable fit. Comfort is provided by the padded collar and tongue. Feet are dry and comfortable in the shoe thanks to the Dri-Lex® moisture wicking lining. They are kept odor free by the Aegis Microbe Shield®. Shock absorption is done by the Dr. Scholl's(R) Massaging Gel cushioning insole. Excellent traction control is provided by the unique MLD® grid design while durability is taken care of by the Slip-resistant TX Traction® outsole. Men can wear the Dr. Scholls Winder men's casual shoe to work for the comfort it provides.

Was fine...until they fell apart 4 months in.

First of all, I will say that my husband loved these shoes in the beginning. He works on his feet 40 hours a week running around a busy grocery store and found them quite comfortable. But soon I noticed that these we just not holding up well. They scuff super easy and looked very worn in a just a few months time. And 4 months in his shoe literally separated from the sole rendering them useless. Perhaps if this wasn't labeled a "work shoe" I would think that maybe he just wore them out. But, 4 months of wear? These shoes cost a decent amount and should last longer. Very disappointing. Don't bother with these if you plan on wearing them for more than a few months. Spend your money elsewhere.

Good Feel, Fall Apart

They feel great on my feet. I bought one pair, the soles ripped off in a month. I kept using them by using super glue. I bought a second pair, hoping that I had bought a defective pair. Nope, same thing with the second pair. I will NEVER buy again.

Fits Good, Look Nice, but to the "Sole" of the Matter...

I was in a store and saw these sitting on a shelf. I looked them over pretty good and they seemed to be a style I would like. Unfortunately, the store I was in didn't have my size. SO I ordered on amazon. No problems with delivery or shipping.

A week into owning these shoes, the left sole started to come off at the heel. This was when I discovered that the shoe is simply glued onto the top of the sole. Not to be deterred, I got some Lock-tite liquid glue and fix the shoe myself... Problem solved right!

about a month later, the RIGHT shoe did the same thing, except it was doing it all the way up to the ball of the foot on the inside of the shoe. So same fix, used the remaining Lock-tite and just filled the shoe sole cavity with it. 2 weeks later, the front of the LEFT shoe popped off... more Lock-tite...

So basically... once all of the glue from the factory pops off, get some good glue, fill the sole with glue, and clamp the shoe to the sole for a day or two... Then you might have a decent pair of shoes. But if you don't want to mess with this, I would strongly suggest looking else where.

wore them 10 times and the sole on both shoes started coming off

Wore them 10 times, they are a bit big but put an extra pad inside and they seemed great until they literally fell apart, the sole are only glued on, not sewn like a 70 dollar pair of shoes should be made. We had Dr. Scholls before and wore them until they wore out.. These are definately not greatly made at all. Our window of opportunity to return them has expired by exactly 3 days..so hopefully a cobbler can fix them. Super disappointed in the new ways they are made! It happened to both shoes and seperated all the way back from the toe to the arch support area :( Hope that they see this and make some much needed changes!! Time to find a new company again..such a shame!

Comfortable and slip-free

I've spent months trying to find a good work shoe for slippery environments that's comfortable on long shifts. This shoe nails it: it certainly sacrifices style for comfort (the front looks kinda bulbous) but that's exactly what my feet and toes needed. I glide through my store in these, love it :-)
