I've seen a few Bigfoot movies on the Sci-Fi channel, and I have to say that this one kicks those butts. It might be a little slow to get started, but once it does it's fun times.

Bigfoot has a lot of heart, gore, and a few corny laughs. It really does feel like a classic monster movie, like the kind that were made in the 70's and 80's. There is no CGI, instead practical effects. Bigfoot himself looks awesome. You wouldn't want to meet this guy in a dark alley...or anywhere else.

Bigfoot only cost $40,000.00 to make, and all of that money was put to good use. It's a shame that Paranormal Activity got a theatrical release, while quality indies like this one go straight to DVD.

If you're nostalgic for a good bigfoot movie, look no furthur than this horror flick.

Bigfoot is the sort of film that harkens to a more simple time in direct to video horror films and feels as home-spun as it's Ohio setting. A man and his cop friend taking on a gigantic missing-link, it's a simple plot that lets you just turn off your brain and enjoy the ride.
The Bigfoot suit in the movie was actually quite well made and it's movements were well choreographed too. While this is a fairly tame movie compared to other films in the Troma canon, it's hokey, but still fun and likeable. I recommend it.

I caught this movie for free On-Demand a few nights ago. I went into it with very low expectations, because, in general, I find the whole Bigfoot/Sasquatch sub genre of horror movies to be rather tired and predictable. And worst of all, they often end up being boring. I mean, what can you say about a genre whose most entertaining example up until now has been the amusing series of "Messin' With Sasquatch" TV commercials?

How wrong I was where this surprising little flick is concerned! From the opening scene it grabbed me and didn't let go for nearly its entire 84 minute running time (Amazon's DVD info says 98 minutes, but the version I saw On-Demand ran for about 84. IMDB states a running time of 87, so what I saw may have been an edited version). The increasingly tense and horrific events taking place in and around a small Ohio town near the shores of Lake Erie are interspersed with a number of humorous, more laid back types of interludes, featuring the local townsfolk. Some of the dialog in the film was priceless. Overall, I found it to be more or less a perfect blend of horror and humor, something many films have tried for over the years, but very few have managed to achieve, in my opinion.

The plot, while fairly predictable, unfolds at a brisk pace. It's very well photographed, with most of the Bigfoot attacks either taking place in broad daylight, or during very well lit nighttime scenes. There's a fair amount of gore, with the effects being quite good for such a low budget movie. The monster costume, while nothing out of the ordinary, is also quite effective. The creature's physical movements ranged from stealthy to threatening, to downright terrifying! The characters are well written, and well acted, for the most part.

This movie was a roller coaster ride of mediocrity. The movie was funny, but short. The special effects were both practical and bad. I was impressed while at the same time cripplingly depressed. I would pay money to see it again, just not a lot.

There are various Bigfoot movies out there and this is one of the movies that I thoroughly enjoy. Does have some blood and gore in it but not excessively. Movie deals with normal people and their reactions with a Bigfoot monster who starts stalking and killing people. He kills the sheriff of that small town and his best friend who just came home from the service goes after the beast and ends up killing it in the end with an older person, who's father was killed by this beast.
