I grew up watching these movies on Saturday afternoons. Killer Shrews and Plan 9 were some of my favorite cheese. Now I watch them with my teenage boys with Joel, Tom, Gypsy, & Crow. What could be better?! Some of the Mike episodes are still good but after Trace Beaulieu left it was nowhere near as good. The original Tom voice(Weinstein) we can't get used to either, Kevin Murphy is great!
If you like Zuckers you'll love MST3K

Except for the giant man-eating lobster -- one of the most ridiculous-looking monsters ever to appear on MST3K -- and the flat performances from its investor/actors, the low-budget limitations of TEENAGERS FROM OUTER SPACE (1959) can't quite mask a pretty suspenseful chase film about a sensitive teen trying to elude a sadistic young killer. If it's not that funny, it's also, surprisingly, not that bad.

Writer/producer/director/editor/actor and former Roger Corman assistant Tom Graeff cast his then-boyfriend, David Love (aka Chuck Roberts) in the lead, and succeeded in making Hollywood, where the film was shot on location, look like a small town in Anywhere, USA. It's not such an inept piece of filmmaking that the riffs come easy, but there's something about the film that really gets to you.

The final host segment is notable for its glimpses of a sultry Joel (!), and an even more sultry Crow (!!). As I said, this film can get to you.

I still remember this episode giving me nightmares about skeletons as a child. I thought it was SO SCARY. :) Now that I've watched it again, it's become one of my favorite MST3K episodes. The riffing is all funny, and I also actually like the movie. In its weird campy, melodramatic way, it's pretty fun. Also, I absolutely love the interstitial skits (try saying that three times fast) on this one.

Even if it isn't a nostalgia trip for you like it is for me, I think this one is worth at least a watch-through.

I used to watch these shows with my wife back in the late 90s. Here we are now, 15 years later, and on occasion we will still quote a line that was really funny. We watched this episode with our 14 and 11 year old, and there were several occasions where they both would laugh out loud. It's really quite rare when an old movie or show stands up against all the super glitzy modern movies. So in summary, not bad at all and seemed to have entertained the whole family.

I had grown up watching MST3K and was originally upset when they changed from Joel to Mike but this episode is one that really stands out for Mike. It was hilarious to watch with my daughter especially when we started chiming in "Torture!" every time it was said. We were rolling by the end. If you are a fan of MST3K, then this is one to watch!

One of the worst movies yet, but that's what makes it so wonderful. Your claws will be up in the air with laughter at the sight of the "lobster". We wonder if the lead "actor" talked like that normally.

This used to be available free through Amazon Instant video and I watched it all the time. Wonder what happened.
