I got interested in this series when it was on American television for two seasons. When it was not picked up, I thought that was the end. However, when I joined Amazon Prime, I found I could watch the other seasons free as part of my Amazon Prime agreement. So I clicked on Season 3, then 4, and picked up the series. I really like it because it is a science fiction show with humor and romance. A great combination.

Like so many other good shows that get canceled before they get a chance to find their niche, Primeval was considered dead and gone after season 3. Victim of the CGI budget among other things. But there was hope, whispers, that the show would be revitalized within another year by another sponsor. Ahhh nonsense, this wasn't Star Trek 1966 saved by viewer write in campaign. The actors will go on to other things and that will be that.

The Gods of British Television though declared "There Shall Be Anomalies" And a great and intriguing show is back on the air revitalized and moving forward. Our favorites, Connor and Abby have escaped back to the Arc, the gruff boss is still their as is the well heeled head of security. There are new characters and hints to maybe even deeper secrets "New Dawn"

The missus and me are glad to see a great SciFi show returned to its rightful place.

This whole show is freaking great! I loved the whole series. Season 4 and 5 (and 3) have improved special effects over the first two seasons and they manage to keep each episode and setting interesting.

In my opinion, this series is by far the best of it's kind to ever be produced. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend viewing the episodes in order. If you like SCIENCE FICTION, I'll bet you're hooked by the end of season one. AMAZON.COM has them in stock. About a year ago, the producers of PRIMEVAL cancelled the series [noting that it was too expensive to produce]. That action brought protest WORLD WIDE and the series was RESURRECTED [BETTER THAN EVER]!

This show is one of my favorites. I was super excited to see Season 4, and I'm anxiously awaiting Season 5. It's got great special effects, and the personalities of the characters are fun to watch and just varied enough to keep the show moving quickly. The stories are really just great fun.

it's about time ITV brought the best sci-fi program in years back where it belongs. it's better than ever. i love british television but if ITV doesn't want to continue with a season 6 and beyond, bring it to the US. we will cherish it here. but it must have the original connor, abby and lester! the actors playing these characters are the heart of this excellent show and make it what it is. here's hoping there will be many more years of primeval to come.

If you're not a Scifi fan, this show isn't for you. But for those that are syfy fans, this is an amazing show. I loved all the episodes. I was kind of disappointed they were killing off the main characters at first, but I think it made each season 'fresher'. It also allowed time to develop the newer characters where you got attached to them as well. I wouldn't say the special effects were low budget. They might have been, but it sure doesn't look like it. I've never been a fan of Dr Who, as most of those shows seem ridiculous and the special effects laughable. But those of you expecting that kind of British show...its not. It's polished, with a universal humor (not just british)with interesting stories. If you watch all the episodes, you'll understand that there is a plot, and each episodes 'fits' well. Of course some time travel and alternate universe plots doesn't make sense, but hey, its for your entertainment not education. Get it, enjoy it, and pray there's a season 5!

Primeval continues strong, complete with new problems and new villains. Having the story-lines of the "important people" continue hooked me right away--and the new characters thrown into the mix make it that much more interesting. A "thank you" from this Fan to the writers for their detailed approach to the storylines--that they maintain the story arc's continuity--and for their allowing relationships to grow and change in a realistic fashion. Great job, Writers-Directors-Developers!
