Look nice, DO NOT SMELL, block out light nicely

I purchased these for EVERY window in my house, and we love them. We have had to return two panels becuase the light came through spotty but they were defective panels I think as I have about 20 panels in my home and not one of them smell and they are all great at blocking light. I wouldn't say they are 99% light blocking but maybe 95% it really depends on the color of fabric you get. The darker the fabric the better they do at blocking. We have 4 panels that are tan and they are about 95% light blocking, the blue ones are about 97% and the black ones are true to the 99%. We purchased the extra liner for our son's room to make the tan curtains a true 100% room darkening as he doesn't sleep well if he sence's any light (he's 2).

We followed the directions when we opened the package and put them in the dryer for about 10-15 min's when we took them out to get rid of wrinkles maybe that's why they have no oder as well..maybe the dryer does something I don't know but we have no issues and have recieved many compliments on how nice our curtains look! The thing I love the most I think besides the light blocking is that it helps reduce the heat/cold that comes into the house. For $10-$20 a panel it is so worth the price!

If you like shiny, they're just what you're looking for

I own several sets of Eclipse blackout curtains. They are a great brand at an affordable price. These curtains seem great too, however it should be noted that the "Linen" color is really more "metallic." It doesn't show so much in the photos, but these curtains are VERY shiny. They actually look more like satin then they do linen. If that's the look you're going for in a blackout/energy saving curtian, then these would be great for you! Otherwise, you'd be better off looking for another pattern/material.

How did I ever do without these curtains...?

I'll be honest. I was a little skeptical when reading over the product details, but I took a gamble in purchasing these. I figured that the design was nice and simple, and in a worse case scenario, the color it would be dark enough to block out most of the light (I live in a highly urban area so even with blinds, all sorts of artificial light can still peek through the windows).

I was very impressed when I opened the packaging to inspect them. You can't really tell so much in the pics, but the curtains' design -at least the chocolate ones I brought- had traces of gray and lighter browns, which worked with my bedroom color scheme. I trimmed them to the proper length, hung them and turned off the lights to go to bed. The room was practically rendered pitch black and for the first time in quite a long time, I got a good night's sleep. Then come the morning and even during midday, the room was still rather dark. Granted, I can't be positive that the lighter colors (Linen) work as well as the darker colors, but I'm happy enough to definitely consider buying more of these curtains for the other rooms in my apartment.

Not even close to colors shown

I just don't understand how I bought curtains that were called "linen" , looked tan and brown in the picture on Amazon and show up silver and tan. What a waste of time!! The picture I attached is the linen eclipse curtain on the left and whatever I got on the right. Obviously I am not keeping them, but man that makes me mad!!!!!!

Beautiful and functional

My husband works night and therefore has to sleep during the day so we needed a curtain to block the light. This one was super easy to set up. And blocks all the light. About blocking outside noise it surely does. He had a hard time sleeping before since all the kids tend to play in our yard, but now they dont disturb him at all!

Great deal.

I have looked at these curtains more than once over the past few years at a large superstore that starts with W and ends in mart and never found them for this price. I am in an A-frame house with glass windows on the front. It has started getting cold here in Montana. After just one day, I have noticed that the house seems a bit warmer and the heat was not on all day. I purchased 6 panels. I did put them all in the dryer for 20 minutes as the directions stated. There was a weird chemical smell when I got them out, but it disappeared very quickly. No smell now that they are hanging. I have not had any problems with light coming through in splotches. They all block light equally. The thing that most impresses me is that all 6 curtains are the same length which I was worried with after reading previous reviews. I LOVE THESE CURTAINS! I don't think you can go wrong with them, especially for this price!

Great find

Bought the tan color to replace white cotton duck curtains in the living room and they do work better blocking light than the thick cotton and are lighter too. Like other reviewers have noted they do not block light completely but that's ok in the living room. I did not detect any unpleasant odor even when just out of plastic packaging. The circles pattern looks nice like I expected but the fabric is a little bit shinier in real life than the picture online. The only downside: there is a weird 1 inch "blob" on one curtain that shows up when the fabric is held against light but is not visible at all either tan side or the white backing. Odd, but I can live with it.

Great looking curtains.

I love these curtains, i also bought a black curtain rod, which makes them look really nice. They have a nice dark goldish color circle rings, along with silver. They look 5 times better in person then they do in the display picture. I recommend the, ive had so many people give complements about them. If or when you decide to order them be sure to put "2" in the number of items to get 1 set, when you add them to your cart, other wise if you just put 1 you will only get 1 curtain panel, so i had to re-order them because of that mistake, so just giving a heads up, and thats the reason i put 4 stars, because of my lack of common sense, and them not leting you know in the description.
