Outnumbered 1 Season 2011

Season 1
4.7 out of 5 stars (109) IMDb 8.2/10

Outnumbered captures the turbulence of family life in a way not seen before - at its most deliciously chaotic moments. Family life for two parents and their three young children is locked in an unequal contest. Using elements of improvisation, this comedy is an honest portrayal of well meaning parents constantly try to keep their children under control, but completely failing to do so.

I really loved watching Season 1 of this series on Comcast On Demand. I would love to buy all the seasons and episodes on Blu-Ray or DVD, but I am prevented from doing so by the Region coding system since all the available items are Region 2 encoded and I live in the U.S.
I feel that the encoding system is customer-hostile, and makes no sense whatever for works which have been released for years, as these programs have been. Whoever the "genius" was who decided to place two major English-speaking countries in two different regions should be punished by being prohibited from enjoying any entertainment ever again.

The first season of this show was a hoot! The kids acting is so realistic to the way children act normally and the parents act like so many do; unconsciously overwhelmed. Plus the fact that British acting is so enjoyable to watch. The best character in this family is Karyn, the youngest 5 year old. She is so sweet and innocent and so funny! As parents, we couldn't stop laughing at all the episodes in this first season and we can't wait to see more of this show.

We were disappointed when our local PBS stopped airing Outnumbered, so we turned to Amazon. Unfortunately they only had the first season when we last looked.

this wonderful series was shown on our local public television channel, but alas, after repeating it once, it has been replaced by other BBC offerings. The three children cast in this series are so natural and incredibly good at being just very interesting kids. I was happy to find this on Amazon for view, as it has not been made available on netflix. I believe there are 3 seasons including all the problems inherent in any growing family, including a "new age" auntie and an adorable aging dad who is struggling with the onset of dementia. The kids grow and change ..... Little Karen, the youngest child is simply amazing. Loved every episode.

I first saw this show in England and was delighted when it became available in the US. The show manages to deliver some of the most natural and funny performances from its team of child actors that I've ever seen, and the actors playing the parents hold a mirror to all of us parents who are just trying to raise our families despite our bewilderment at the personalities developing in our children and the things life throws at us.

My clear favorite, though, is Ramona Marquez as Karen, the young daughter. Her scene where she re-enacts a reality show with her stuffed animals had me laughing non-stop.

A very, very funny show.

Outnumbered raises the bar for domestic sitcoms. It's inspired, intelligent and hilarious. It absolutely captures modern times. I really can't watch the plodding Modern Family American shows. Each actor is strong and has great timing.

Some network here needs to import this. Perhaps Greg Daniels could be the executive producer. He's done a great job with The Office.

I really enjoy this series, and wish it was available on DVD to enjoy again! The children are very good, believeable and yet not believeable at the same time. The stories are fun and eminently re-watchable.

This is a super cute and very funny show, but unfortunately it's not available in a USA format and most likely won't for a long time. Life on Mars is another one that's really good that I cannot yet buy. Come on BBCA!!!!
