I have thoroughly enjoyed watching these shows. Some of the funniest people in the business are on these episodes, Jonathin Winters! Seeing some of them when they aren't doing their act can be a revelation. I am now a fan of some comics that I wasn't keen on before seeing them here.

Easily one of the best shows I've ever watched. I'm sure if your even looking at this and considering the show, you know enough of these people and the other reviews, that I don't have to ramble about it. It's like being in a conversation without having to bother to speak. It's very inviting, hilarious, thoughtful, and just down right special. It's a special show, all the episodes, and its silly that the vision could be seen to put it together and air it, but not let it time to find its audience.

The timing of the show was perfect, capturing many of these comics on the upswing of the new stand-up boom. It's very un-precious and simply fun. I miss it.

Why, oh why, oh why did Showtime cancel this. I laughed, so hard, so loud, so long and for so many days. Dam, dam. How could it not have found more of an audience. It gave me a whole new appreciation for comedy. Everyone gets called on the carpet and everyone laughs. One huge barrel of intelligent, no-holds barred, far-out, unscripted, HILARIOUS comedy. Watching this makes every single care float away. A serious violation on Showtime for canceling it. Provensa deserves lots of credit for master minding it. I loved him on Northern Exposure. Dam. I guess all good things come to an end. Bravo, anyway!!!!!!!!!

The only mistake Showtime has made with this show is not yet renewing it for another season. The comics on each episode are brilliant and funny and thoughtful and Paul Provenza navigates and leads the conversation so we get to see his guests at their most real and relaxed.

If you liked "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn" then you will like "The Green Room with Paul Provenza". This highlights their real talents by speaking naturally to other comics.

Paul Provenza, Rain Pryor, Paul Mooney, Jim Jeffries, and Bobby Slayton. In one room. Holocaust and slavery jokes between serious discussions of both topics. Fantastic!
