If you grew up in the rural Midwest on a farm in the 1960's, you owe it to yourself to see this film. While some of the idiosyncrasies in the film are unique to this family, you can substitute your own family's idiosyncrasies w/o harm to the movie's intent. It's a good reflection on what it's like to grow up in a family that is involved in a dying way of life, but they of course, don't know that and blame themselves. While the heroine (Randy) didn't have as much drive and character as one needs to exit that situation, the producer has her sort of "piggy-back" another person to help her leave all this behind.
