Falling Skies is good Sci-Fi series that depicts an end of the world alien invasion scenario. Who cares if the acting or the special effects are not the "best to date" (which it is really not that bad). Its the content and story that matter the most in my opinion and this show has it. Besides, its also very pleasing to see some new actors on T.V. rather than the same old Hollywood mainstream.

This is one of the toughest genres for a TV series to undertake. As a movie, this type of post-apocalyptic show would be easy to execute, fitting a story line nicely into 90 - 120 minutes. As a TV series, you have to keep the motion of the story line moving along for hours on end. In addition to keeping the story line moving along, you have to maintain a certain degree of realism for the situation.

I believe that Falling Skies achieves these qualities satisfactorily. While my mind occasionally does ponder the obvious contradictions (90% of the people, including the military, have been wiped out, but these rag tag fighters aren't destroyed in the same fashion), I still find the story line intriguing enough to overlook these technicalities.

Overall, this series holds its own against any other shows in this genre, and continues to gain traction with new viewers.

I was not expecting that ending but it was pretty good!!

So far FS is going great! This is the only series that I've seen completely from episode 1 season 1 and still love it. :)

GREAT Sci-fi stuff if you like this topic.

Just wanted to say that if you haven't seen Falling Skies the first season this is an excellent re-cap and enough for you to "catch up" and watch season 2. I watched the first season and loved it but had forgotten a lot and wanted to be reminded before I started watching season 2 starting tonight. This is an excellent series and Noah Wiley is wonderful.

For me, science fiction is something of a love-hate relationship...I love great sci-fi, but I absolutely loathe the cheap, low-budget, poorly-written crud that seems to be scatter shot across the networks. This show is one of the exceptions that I'm always looking out for. I love this series. The characters are well developed, the struggles are believable, and the story is just plain fun to watch. At times some of the acting can come off as being a bit over done, but Noah Wyle does an amazing job pulling off his character.

I can't wait for Season 3 this summer. My only complaint is that there are only 10 episodes per season.
