This show is entertaining and amusing; if you've watched and enjoyed Kitchen Nightmares (UK) vs. Hell's Kitchen, you'll like this, it's set up almost identically. Ramsay is much more toned down and less over-the-top in KN and this show than in Hell's Kitchen. If Hell's Kitchen been your only experience with Ramsay, where I find him insufferable and unwatchable, this is different. There he's just a big insulting jerk, and there are enough of those out there in the world: I don't want to watch them on TV in my spare time....

In this show he's still blunt and curses a bit which is just how he speaks, but here it's entertaining and pretty hilarious at times; he also really wants to help the hotel owners succeed, and you can learn a bit about the business, one reason I also loved KN. I do wish he would go back to the hotels months later to see if his advice has been followed and to see what happened like he does in KN; would make it even more interesting.

My husband and I watched the first part of this on TV but something came up and we missed the 2nd part. Rarely do we care enough about TV to chase down an episode but we had to see the ending. We love Gordon. He really, really put these snotty owners in their place! What makes people think they can run a business they know nothing about?

As rough as Gordon was on these guys by the end he had really gotten through to them and had them straightened out. If you like watching Gordon in action don't miss the 1st and 2nd part of this show.

Where is this show -- why hasn't it returned?! My fiance and I were so bummed when we kept reading the show would return, only to have the date pushed further and further each time... I've been a Gordon Ramsay fan ever since I started watching his shows on the BBC... I was so happy to see that he made his way over to the states with hits like Hells Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares... I know that a lot of people think he's an a$$ but I love him -- the insults, the comments, the hotness. I got my fiance hooked on him with a few episodes of Kitchen Nightmares... I don't know you couldn't love this guy when he's ranting and raving. Only annoys me when they bleep everything out! Anyway, Hotel Hell is no exception in the ruling of Ramsay - King of the American reality TV series in my opinion :) COME BACK FOR SEASON TWO, GORDON -- WE MISS YOU!

If you are familiar with Ramsay and his different works, then this will be somewhat familiar to you. Think kitchen nightmares, but with Hotel's. He goes in, meets the owner/owners and then he tests everything you would want from a Hotel from the customer's point of view. He then chats with staff, people in the town, former and current customers, and then the owners. He then does what he can in a week to turn it around, but mostly just give them, the owners the tools and the direction they need to dig themselves out of the hole they are in. The only thing I would change would be have Gordon go into some of these Hotel's before they are in so far over their head they cant get out no matter what. I would like to see Gordon go in to a place that is in trouble, but with the tools he has left them with, they have a better than average chance of staying open. Then go back and see how they did. Other than that, if you like Ramsay, which i do, then you will like this show to. In my humble opinion that is. He is not quite as rough or nasty as he is in kitchen nightmares. I think that might be because one is food, which is dear to his heart, and the other is a place to stay. He is passionate in what ever he does that is just obvious. It must have been a test season or series. There were not more than six to eight episodes. So I would say certainly buy them and watch. I have seen just about everything he has done. I'm a big fan and i enjoyed it very much...

Another Gordon Ramsay show which makes it great no matter what.
Seriously though, the show is ok, not as good as his restaurant show though.
I would pay to see more episodes, but for Gordon, not the show itself.

If you are like me and my girlfriend, you think Gordon Ramsey is awesome. This show is just as good as Kitchen Nightmares, and I think a little better. Less drama, more of the actual process of improving a hotel, and not many people calling Gordon 'Chef'.
