Even though this series is 40 years old, it is still very entertaining and well worth watching. I remembered watching some of it years ago, but decided to start from the very beginning and watch all five seasons. I got hooked quickly and enjoyed every episode. Excellent programming, I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys this genre.

Once again, what can I say. It was just the best. How the people, residents and help all have their own set of problems and seem to work them out. There were parts that made me so sad, but there is a reason for it all. Can hardly wait to watch it again one of these days. Yes, it was that good

This show stayed consistently great! It is both entertaining and educational. I felt as if I was living through the history of England at the turn of the century. I only wish that one of the very sad things at the end of the season hadn't happened (don't want to spoil it here) but I suppose the writers felt that this was a logical, if not tragic, thing to happen. :-( and a good way to tie things up. Anyway, a wonderful show. Wish I could find another show as good to start watching now!

Made the mistake of watching the newer version of this first......only to find out that it was cancelled after 2 seasons. So, I went to the original Upstairs Downstairs and LOVED it. Only problem is that you might have to call in sick because you CAN'T seem to stop watching. You will think, "Just one more episode" and before you know it, the sun is up. Beware of the addiction!

This program is terrific. I am now watching Season 5 and have thoroughly enjoyed every season. I have found it by far one of the best series I have ever watched. I also have watched Downton Abbey and found Upstairs, Downstairs, to have much more thought provoking episodes. I wish it would have continued with more seasons.

Very old production but very well done. Good representation of the times. I loved the progression of womens dress and hair styles throughout the series. It was also a good history lesson for me. At the end of the series I wanted it to go on. I would recommend the series to any one who loves the present day Downtown Abbey.

This is my second time around for all 5 seasons. It still is a high quality show with fantastic actors, interesting characters and great viewing. Too bad there are not more TV shows displaying these excellent standards!
