Charming smart touching oddball comedy. I laughed out loud many times. Well-written, well-directed, and well-acted. Really looking forward to Madeleine Olnek's next feature. Her short film, Countertransference, is just as good.

In this spoof of classic Sci-Fi films of the 50′s, three alien women from the planet Zots visit Earth in an effort to rid themselves of romantic feelings, which are destroying the ozone layer of their own planet. Zoinx (Susan Ziegler) immediately begins courting stationary clerk Jane (Lisa Haas) who seems to be unaware that Zoinx is indeed an alien. Despite a variety of mishaps, and unorthodox alien customs, Zoinx and Jane fall in love.

Fellow aliens Zylar (Jackie Monahan) and Barr (Cynthia Kaplan) try their hand at the urban dating world, but after several unsuccessful attempts at dating earthling women, they fall into a relationship with each other. All the while, `men in black' are keeping an eye on the alien women from a distance.

Madeleine Olnek has created a hilarious satire of the pitfalls experienced in the NYC dating scene, while making an obvious nod to Ed Wood and 1950′s B movies with the film's black and white portrayal and suitably cheesy props.

The interactions between Zoinx and Jane are particularly humorous (imagine a lesbian version of `Mork and Mindy') as Jane tries to work out Zoinx's strange mating practices and forms of affection.

"Codependent Lesbian Space Alien Seeks Same" is a hilarious spoof of classic space dramas with something extra. I've seen it twice already.

The title was what got my attention when I saw it on Netflix. I laughed my butt off at several scenes. Great little low budget movie!

Other than black and white I was not surprised by this well thought out play. It had no special effects to speak of and often the language was stilted but it carried a message that it is ok to believe even though no one else can. Love does play a part here and after taking a hit for ruining the atmosphere it makes a quick recovery. This movie needs to be viewed with an open mind and taken for what it is which is just a message of joy.

There was not one thing about this I didn't love, from the fact that Jane just didn't notice Zoinks was an alien to the low-key gas-lighting, abuse about donuts between the federal agents (well, the "federal agents"). But most of all: HOW DID THEY KEEP STRAIGHT FACES DURING THE DANCING SCENE? Much LOLing from me. Highly recommended.
