Premiering on 9/27/61 - this treasured television animated series has as much character and humor today as it did then. Marvin Kaplin with his deadpan/monotone Brooklyn accent is too perfect as the voiceover for "Choo-Choo", who can be identified by his trademark turtleneck sweater and black tip tail. And of course, Arnold Stang does the voiceover of the 'main' leader - "Top Cat", who is perpetually looking for ways to make a fast buck and is forever the target of "Officer Dibbles" displeasure when he continually catches him using the police roadside phone booth. I have to agree with another reviewer regarding the episode: "Choo-Choo's Romance" - it is really cute and one of my personal favorites, along with "The Maharajah Of Pookajee".

No regrets here on this purchase.

This series take me back a long ways. I remember seeing it when I was younger. Although I wasn't too young I still enjoyed it tremendously. It's a shame they didn't make but a few of these very memorable cartoons because they don't exist anymore.
