Don't miss this series! Series one blew me away with it's character development and acting. Season 2's story is a minuscule notch below that of season 1. A powerful and emotional spun series that will keep you locked in tight! Although @ times I might have caught myself saying "that would never happen" during an episode or two; in contrast the series most often compensates in other areas that would balance most doubt. Season 3 has started and it's been nothing short of amazing so far! The mix of characters and their acting is unbelievably superb!

Another great season with complex characters. The expansion of story lines (including the growing inequality in society) added depth to several minor characters. Can't wait for next season!

Despite some sloppy writing in the first season, it was a fine effort. But season 2 really tests credibility. I mean, you would never have a senior CIA meeting about a potential terrorist threat against the Vice President in his OFFICE, without the PRESIDENT and a team of SECURITY folks there! and whoever put explosives in Brody's car could have easily been discovered by the SECURITY CAMERAS that would be installed EVERYWHERE!! And there there's Carrie, annoying; Brody's daughter, annoying; and David Estes, the stupiest CIA director known to man! All he does is ask, "so what should we do Saul" "so what should we do Carrie". Seriously? He's their BOSS! And last but not least, there's that video. Nazir would have known that Brodie had been turned the minute he discovered that tape had been taken back to the US by Saul. *sigh* I really wanted this show to be as good as Breaking Bad, but what made that show great was that every character acted as they should, and everything was relatively believable.

I'm late to discover Homeland, I find it the best show on TV. Damien Lewis and Claire Danes get best actor/actress votes

Counted down the days until it was all available and watched it straight through. The story line is incredible and unfortunately believable, which make's it frightening. Best show ever.

The first season was exciting. The second season was an endurance test of Carrie disobeying orders, going off on her own and screwing up operations and excessively rolling her eyes and trembling her chin. It was difficult to believe she was a trained CIA field agent. It all got too tedious. Also, there were some gaping plot holes that defied credibility, such as how could terrorists put all those explosives in Brody's car in the CIA parking lot where there is the highest level of security (No wonder it was done off camera.)
At least I won't have to watch season 3, because I don't intend to.
