A wonderful honest look in seeing celebrity and it's perks from a unique perspective .Caroline Paul's the identical twin of Alexandra Paul of Baywatch fame. She was often mistaken for her sister she was ushered into first class asked for autographs and has a unique birds eye view of being a celebrity.

This is a delightful plunge into what it's like to be famous. But since it's told from the point of view of someone who is not actually a celebrity, it's probably a little more candid and illuminating. Unlike a regular celebrity book, the author here doesn't have an image to preserve. She's just a regular person who, through twist of fate, ended up being mistaken for -- and therefore treated as -- a celebrity. Paul is a great writer, and this is a fun read.

I loved this story of twins - one famous, and one not so much. It's riveting, fascinating (from one who always wished to be a twin) and moving. The moment when they open the DNA test results to discover whether they are fraternal or identical twins choked me up. Beautiful, sharp writing and a really compelling story.

Caroline Paul has given us unique insight into the experience of looking identical to a celebrity. With humor, love, and science, Caroline weaves a story of a crazy time in her life when her twin, Alexandra, was an international sensation, easily identifiable all over the world. If the fantasy of being a twin has ever appealed to you, or if you are interested in what it's like to be nearly famous, you will love this essay.

Caroline Paul has written a terrific thing here, equal parts fascinating, funny, smart and readable. If you are a twin or not a twin, you'll like this.

Entertaining and thought-provoking at the same time, this memoir by the less-famous identical twin of an internationally known TV star will make you laugh. But it might also cast a different light on our culture of celebrity and make you think about things that really matter in life. An hour very well spent!

Entertaining, moving, thought provoking read on the nature of celebrity and twins. As the mother of (fraternal) twins, I found it especially fascinating.

I imagine there are a ton of books from twins out there but what an interesting concept to hear the voice of one who is identical to a celebrity. With well-written prose, the author shares her ups, downs and dilemmas of looking like someone who everyone thinks they know--or should know. This book makes you stop and think why we care so much about celebrities and, what is seldom addressed, how the celebrities feel about the adulation. It's humorous (the wetsuit story is classic) and thought-provoking as we hear from both the author and her celebrity sister when appropriate. Plus, you learn something about twins. Who knows, you may be one and not even know it!
