Initially I came into this for the pornographic content, which was the main draw for me in the author's other works, but almost immediately I found myself wrapped up in the characters and the incredibly fleshed-out world building throughout the story. The nested layers of storytelling within the story itself were incredibly easy to follow, which I consider a testament to the author's immense skill in maintaining narrative flow and clarity. The characters' personalities, struggles, and desires were all deeply engaging, immersing me in the narrative and giving me a strong emotional connection to each of them.

The world, or in this case universe, was well thought-out and detailed, providing a setting that managed to set itself uniquely apart from the standard 'Monstrous Humanoid' trappings yet maintaining enough of the usual details to still feel familiar. I wound up completely absorbed in this story, devouring it with barely a break, and it managed to be a wholly satisfying read yet still left me wishing for more. I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of either space opera stories or monstrous humanoid settings, as it's an excellent blend of the two that provides an engaging and compelling read, and is far more than worth the low price.
