The list author says: "It seems that when I was actually a young adult there were no where near as many great YA books out there as there are today. And there are so many of them now that may be made for a young audience but as an adult, I still love them! These are some of my favorites... enjoy!"
"A post apocolyptic united states where the powers that be force children to fight to the death once a year in a televised set of games... great concept that had me rivited from beginning to end... Must Read! 10 times better than Twilight and thats saying a lot for me"
"A young girl commits suicide and leaves her suicide note on a set of 13 cassette tapes addressed to the 13 people who she felt played a part in why she did it. Amazing story that is trying to teach a leeson to young people. Really good stuff!"
"Very similar to the Hunger Games, but still excellent in it's own right! A post-apocolyptic world in which children are put through unbeliebable, life risking tests for... what? we don't quite know yet. Still 2 more books in the triolgy to go"
"You can't do a list of all the best YA books out there without including the Twilight saga. These may be old news by now, but I still say if you haven't read them, you must! This series changed my entire reading list and got me started on so many new topics of interest."
"Not as good as twilight but I really liked the fallen angel concept. Only read book 1 so far, book 2 was just released, and supposedly 2 more books will follow... I can only hope the series gets better as it goes. The Jury is still out!"
"This series is more of a boys version of Twilight. A lot of boys out there who like the series may be uset with me for saying that... but it is. It's a boys version of the vampire fantasy. Still very enjoyable, and the movie is great too."
