"THE NAMING is awesome!!! A Tolkien sort of fantasy, but with a Celtic theme, Croggon's works are of excellent quality. I was also captivated by her beautiful detailed writing style. I was glued from start to finish!"
"A weak beginning, but the rest was fabulous. Barron's works captivated me with his idea of hundreds of seperate worlds interwined inside a massive form of tree. He presents likable characters stuck in desperate situations all placed in an Authurian sort of setting."
"My least favorite of T A Barron's Trilogy, but still a good read. Following the character's in Book I, it adds battles and betrayal, along with the adventures continuing from Book I. The ending is a little disappointing but not enough to ruin the rest of the book."
"Book III. My only complaint about this book is I wish Barron had tied up all the loose ends better. He introduces a lot of things in the previous books that never get completely solved (esp. the relationships between charcters). But even the slightly unsatisfying end is not enough to spoil the rest of the book. There are plenty of battles and evil villians to keep the reader entertained."
"Book I. This was the last book I read of the HARRY POTTER series and I was amazed at how much Rowling built off the first book. There is forshadowing in THE SORCEROR'S STONE that goes way into all the other books."
"Book VI is clearly leading up to the last book in the series. My only advice to the reader is SKIP CHAPTER II AND COME BACK TO IT WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED!!! It gives away a major twist in the plot that ruins a lot of surprises later on in the story. I still recommend this book to all who enjoy the previous HARRY POTTER'S. An excellent read."
"One of those strange fantasies that are really fun to read. So far this is the only one of McKillip's books that I have really liked, but I am still trying them out. Her writing is beautiful and captivating, but sometimes her plots can be a little shallow. THE ALPHABET OF THORN is pretty good though with interesting characters and good description."
"I actually picked this up off a free rack in a garage sale thinking it would probably not be very good. I was wrong however and got really into it. Hanley creates strong and likable characters that develop and mature as they are set into dangerous situations. Some parts were a bit too romancey for me, but there was also lots of action in it. Overall, I was really pleased with it."
"ERAGON and THE ELDEST are awesome books esp. if your like me and like stories with dragons in it. Paolini is excellent at making his dragons seem life-like. In fact I found myself following the dragons in the book more than the human characters. Paolini's only fault is that the middle of his books drag a little bit, the ends are always awesome!!!"
