Personal Productivity

Goeran Askeljung
The list author says: "The best books about Personal Productivity are listed here. All the collected knowledge, empirical proof and methodology displayed in writing won't help you, if you don't practice it and learn to use it in your daily life.
Getting Things Done (GTD) is one of the most practical and easiest to implement methodologies I can recommend.
GTD is in fact a System Independent Action Management method, which you can implement using paper or a software of your choice. Most software tools that support the GTD methodology are not Independent Systems though.

Outlook for instance, lets you implement GTD using Actions. If you choose Outlook you are bound by certain limitations though. Outlook can't sync Actions with iTunes and iPhones/iPads, you have a problem mixing private and business related items on the company servers and if you use a Mac at home and Outlook in the office, there's no way you can merge all your Actions into a single point of view accessible from everywhere and anytime.

There excists a tremendous amount of GTD Tools that offers more freedom, but still don't go the full way overcoming limitations and offer a real Independent System for managing your actions.

KOI is an aspiring Independent System for managing your actions that offers many advantages compared to other GTD software. KOI stand for Kommunikation, Information, Organisation (yes, that's German). The KOI Rich Client is Java based and thus truly OS independent and comes with a iPhone, iPad and Android App. It syncs with the cloud thus securing all your data and makes it available for you on multiple devices and even over the Web.

KOI advantages also includes the possibility to combine GTD with other methods for Productivity such as Covey's First Things First (FTF) and much more, thus truly offering a first choice for you Independent and Trusted System for managing your actions.

Available in fall 2010, you can see the teaser and check it out here:
