The list author says: "This list is organized into five groups: 1-10 = Neurophysics & Complexity 11-20 = Neuroscience & Philosophy 21-30 = Neuroeconomics & Cooperation 31-35 = Miscellaneous Related Issues 36-40 = Compilations by Various Authors (Save money and buy these.)
I have tried to make this list as helpful as possible by doing two main things. First, I excluded "Science Writers" like Michael Shermer, Malcolm Gladwell, Jonah Lehrer and the like. This list is exclusive to "Actual Scientists" (Physicists, Biologists, Philosophers, etc.) that create the primary research that every one else just talks about. Secondly, every book has been published within the last 5 years. So, each subject is just about as fresh as can be expected. I really enjoy this subject matter, I think it is the most important and relevant work being done today. So, if you feel like I do, then I hope this list helps you."
"Read Montague, in this book, brings together all the elements of this entire list. He writes so forcefully that no time or space is wasted. His "Efficient Computational Theory of Mind" is very smart. I highly recommend this book."
