Assorted Nuts

A guide by Philip Harris

Products sampled from this guide:
The Rum Diary : A Novel
Thompsons version of Hemingway's 'To Have and Have Not' Great first attempt at a novel. If Thompson would have continued on this pathway than becoming engrossed in drug use then maybe he would have become a great novelist of the 21st century then just a Cult figure.
To Have and Have Not
My personal favorite Hemingway Novel. Two stories that run together beautifully. MUST READ
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas: A Savage Journey to the Heart of the American Dream
GONZO AT ITS FINEST. The first book I ever read!(besides the elusive Goosebumps books.) I read it when I was nine years old and my life was changed forever. My mom used to find it and throw it away because she didn't want trash in my mind but i kept on buying copies. I have three copies right now.
Ecstacy Club: A Novel
A book about people who throw raves. But its not just that, it has some intelligence thrown into it.
Naked Lunch
BURROUGHS!!! William S. Burroughs is a genius. After you read this go on and read 'Junky.'
On the Road
Everytime I read this book I want to leave my house with just the clothes on my back.
A Farewell To Arms
Great Novel. I felt like crying when i finished the novel. The ending is real sad. The two main characters and the love they have for eachother is amazing.
Franny and Zooey
Complicated read. Its a story about a girl who has a break down. Very good book. My favorite Salinger Novel.
Been Down So Long It Looks Like Up to Me (Twentieth-Century Classics)
Strange prose. I stole this book from my school library(shhh)because i loved it so much. A story about a college hipster who goes through college right on the verge of the sixties.
Ulysses
My favorite book. Must read.
The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test
Ken Kesey and his Pranksters Lsd induced Journey across the United States. Exciting read, though very journalistically written.
Trainspotting
The dialects are confusing at first, but the novel is very engrossing. A delightful/scary read.
Wish You Were Here
The best Pink Floyd Album, Shine on You Crazy Diamonds is my favorite Pink Floyd collective of songs.
The Wall (Deluxe Packaging Digitally Remastered)
The movie was good but the album is better. I prefer getting high and playing this album along with "2001: A Space Odyssey."
American Beauty
I love this album. The Grateful Dead is the greatest band ever. Jerry is God.
