You're pregnant - congratulations!!! This is one of the most exciting times in your life! Some pregnancies are just wonderful and some are difficult but ALL pregnancies are only temporary. :-)

For your comfort during pregnancy

Triscuits, Reduced Fat, 8.5-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 12)
Brita Slim Water Filter Pitcher, 5 Cup

Diamond Whole Almonds, 6-Ounce Bags (Pack of 4)
You need to pay more attention to your health than ever now. Take those prenatal vitamins! To avoid morning sickness, make sure your stomach is never completely empty and be sure to stay hydrated! That means lots of small meals and plenty of water (which also helps with swelling).

Tums Antacid, Regular Strength, Chewable Tablets, Peppermint, 150-Count Bottles (Pack of 4)
Sea Band Wristband Adult
Klein's Naturals Ginger Slices, 10-Ounce Tubs (Pack of 6)
Ginger and sea bands can help combat nausea and Tums can help with heartburn, as well as adding more calcium to your diet.

Dulcolax Stool Softener Laxative, 100 Count
Check with your doc first, of course.

Leachco Snoogle Total Body Pillow
Get extra pillows or this custom one to help you sleep more comfortably. If nothing else, you'll probably appreciate having one between your knees and one under your belly by the third trimester.

AcuRite 47391 LCD Travel Alarm Clock
I was so exhausted all the time that I found myself napping during my lunch hour at work. Thank goodness for an alarm to wake me!

<product no longer available>
By your third trimester, you'll probably be finding it uncomfortable to bend over to get to your feet. Try to find some suitable basic slip-on shoes, whether that's clogs in cold weather or flip-flops during summer or comfortable flats you can wear to work.
P.S. I highly recommend scheduling a pedicure sometime during your last two months. First because your feet will probably be looking a bit neglected by then, and secondly because you'll appreciate the pampering.

Sterling Silver Box Chain Necklaces & Bracelets 1mm Nickel Free Italy, Sizes 7 - 30 inch
A lot of women are unable to wear their wedding ring by the end of their pregnancy, due to swelling. I was able to keep mine on my pinky but the next step is putting your ring(s) on a chain around your neck. Or just leaving them off until after the birth...

DayMinder G200-00 Recycled Weekly Appointment Book, Black, 4 7/8" x 8", 2015
Even if you don't normally carry one, you'll need to get a calendar (preferably one you can tote around in your purse). Between increasing doctor appointments, childbirth and parenting classes, appointments to choose a pediatrician or day care provider and pregnancy amnesia, you're going to find that you MUST write things down.

Prepare your home for bringing home baby

I know you may be tired and uncomfortable. But now is going to be the last chance you have to get some things done before things get really chaotic! Try to delegate physically demanding chores like cleaning out the garage to someone else (family, husband, friends) while you can take care of things such as writing up your family tree for your coming baby, keeping a journal, getting that pile of bills filed, etc.

SEPSMWHFA32140 - Handi-foil Half-Size Aluminum Disposable Steamtable Pan - 2-1/2'' Deep
Starting in your last month or two, try to double a casserole recipe once a week and freeze half for after the baby's here. Trying to get yourselves fed can be an incredible challenge when you're tired and overwhelmed.
These containers are perfect for preparing, baking and freezing, especially if covered with layers of heavy-duty aluminum foil and stored in large Ziploc bags in the freezer. Be sure to label what the casserole is, as well as the baking time and temp.

Dreamfields Pasta Healthy Carb Living, Penne Rigate, 13.25-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 12)
Stock up your pantry, also. Another thing you can do every week is just to grab some extra staples from the store to keep around - pasta and sauce, rice, peanut butter, oatmeal, low sodium soups, etc.

Avery Easy Peel Address Labels, Inkjet Printers, White, 1 x 2-5/8 Inch, Box of 750 labels (25 Sheets / 30 per Sheet) (08160)
Type up and print out addresses for shower thank yous, as well as miscellaneous gifts and favors from friends and family.

Stuff to have before bringing home baby

I know you're going to register, these are just the basic things you really want to have set up in your home before you go into labor.

<product no longer available>
You won't be allowed to bring the baby home from the hospital without a carseat. Don't procrastinate - get yours, install it and get it inspected before you need it!

Pampers Swaddlers Diapers, Size 1-2, 234 Count
Huggies Natural Care Baby Wipes - 720ct
I don't recommend buying a ton of diapers, just because you might find that some fit better or your baby has an allergic reaction to some brands. But do have some in the house for when you first get home.

Mylicon Infant Gas Relief- 1 Fl Oz
We used a generic version of this. Our pediatrician said that this was fine to use with our newborn - if they don't use the medicine, it just gets pooped out. Bottom line, you don't want to be stuck at home with a fussy, gassy baby and no remedy.

Braun Thermoscan Ear Thermometer with ExacTemp Technology, IRT4520USSM
Have a digital thermometer before baby comes home - you don't want to have to guess if your newborn has a fever!

Equate - Acetaminophen Fever Reducer / Pain Reliever Concentrated Infants' Drops, Grape Flavor 1 oz
Have this before bringing baby home but don't administer any without checking with your pediatrician first.

Size It Closet Organizers 5ct, Sage
These are especially useful for young babies. They go through clothing so quickly and it's easy to miss out if you don't have things arranged by size. You're sure to be getting lots of gifts of adorable outfits!

Retractable Cell Phone Car Charger for Motorola RAZR smartphone series
Ideally you'll have this before your pregnant, but if not you should get one now. You really don't want to get stuck on the road or out somewhere with an infant and a dead cell phone.

What to Expect the First Year, Second Edition
Some people find these books too preachy. That's fine, but it can be incredibly reassuring to have some sort of book on newborns when you first get home with your first child.

Canon PowerShot SD1100IS 8MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom (Blue)
This is such an exciting and important time in your lives! Be sure to have SOME sort of camera and USE IT! You'll want pictures of you in various stages of pregnancy, as well as those precious photos of you-know-who after their arrival.

Scott Bath Tissue, White, 20-Count Packages (Pack of 2)
I know it seems funny, but it really helps to stock up on basic necessities before you bring home baby and get really busy and tired (which usually leads to poor memory and "emergency situations"). haha

Prepare for the big day (and right after)

First and foremost - PLEASE make up a simple list of phone numbers. These should include the home, cell and work number for you and dad, the number for your OB, the number for the hospital/maternity ward and all numbers of people you want to contact with the birth info (family and friends). You should have a copy of this list by every phone in your home, in your cars, at work and in your purse. If your water breaks or there is an emergency, the last thing you want to have to do is run around looking for contact numbers! (My water broke when I was home alone - I was able to grab the phone and phone list and run into the bathroom to make all of my calls.)

Once you're home from the hospital, replace the lists with new ones that have the contact info for your pediatrician, Poison Control and any other important numbers. Attach at least one copy of this to your main phone for any newborn babysitters.

Carnation Home Fashions 3-Gauge Vinyl Shower Curtain Liner with Weighted Magnets and Metal Grommets, Super Clear, 72 x 72 - Inches
Get the cheapest (or better yet, used) shower curtain liner you can find. Keep one in each of your cars, just in case your water breaks. You can even find these at a dollar store.

Dulcolax Stool Softener, 180 Count
Have plenty of these on hand for after the birth. Whether you deliver vaginally or have a C section, your body is in turmoil and it's best to keep yourself as comfortable as possible.

<product no longer available>
Ditto. Aches and pains, stitches and incisions, headaches - you'll want to be able to control any pain.

Thermacare Heatwraps-6 Pack, 15 ounces Boxes
I found these to be invaluable when I got home from the hospital! My back hurt from carrying around a baby constantly and my shoulders were tense from the stress I was under.

Always Ultra Thin Unscented Pads with Wings, Overnight, 14 Count (Pack of 4)
Even if you're a tampon girl and you're having a C section, you'll be stuck wearing pads for weeks after the birth. The super maxi ones in the hospital will work but you'll eventually want something less diaper-like!

Burt's Bees Head to Toe Starter Kit
I brought this litte kit with me to the hospital. I like these products, they're all natural and they're not overly fragranced.
