What I'm discussing today is something called Scientifically Guaranteed Weight Loss. In other words, a way to lose weight that is based on science and GUARANTEED to work. This involves three crucial elements- and skipping any one of them will most certainly take the "guarantee" out of Scientifically Guaranteed Weight Loss.
Element #2 is an exercise plan. There are lots of options here, but perhaps the the most popular and convenient option is to just buy a pedometer, perhaps the Omron HJ-112 Digital Pocket Pedometer. A pedometer counts the number of step you've taken in a day, so all you have to do to calculate your average daily steps is to clip it on your belt for a day and then check it before you go to bed. Then the next day, try to take a few more steps here and there than you usually do- and before you know it, you'll be burning more calories day by day. No worrying about going to the gym with this little baby. If this option doesn't appeal to you, ANY activity done at a moderate intensity for 20-30 minutes a day will do (moderate intensity is, for example, how hard you're working when you're late for an appointment and hurrying down the hall). DO NOT waste your time trying to lose most of your excess weight with exercise. Case in point- your average person burns 100 calories a mile running. So if you ran one marathon a day, which is 26.2 miles, you'd only be burning off 2,620 calories a day- that's not even a pound of fat which is 3,500 calories! Important point: Just shoot for a short bout of exercise each day- its not the best way to drop pounds as you'd have to do enormous amounts to lose even a small amount of weight.
Element #3 is motivation. Now this is the single most overlooked piece of the weight loss puzzle for probably 90% of people looking to drop a few pounds. Why? Because NO diet or exercise program, no matter how good, will work UNLESS you're motivated to stick with it long enough to see great results. So, if you're motivation tank is on empty, I suggest giving it a fill-up with The Sixty-Second Motivator. Important point: Once you have found a meaningful motivating factor to keep you going, you've just added the necessary fuel to consistently carry out your diet and exercise plans- which means you can now lose that weight once and for all!
