read the BEST books of 2010

A guide by Keleigh Crigler Hadley, author of Revenge Inc. (author of Revenge, Inc.)
(VINE VOICE)

I'm always after the hottest books across all genres. I'll read everything from political books to thrillers to sports books to autobiographies and a lot in between. As long as the writing is good and the topic is topical, I'm interested. This guide includes everything from the Saints long and heartwarming story of winning the Super Bowl to new politics to time travel adventures and to the latest from Chelsea Handler's wonderfully twisted mind.

The New Orleans Saints Story: The 43-Year Road to the Super Bowl XLIV Championship Like a Hollywood underdog story, the Saints took out the media-favorites Colts in a decisive and clean victory. A great story to inspire a city that needs hope.
Preacher's Kids: Secrets & Salvation
Preacher's Kids: Wicked and Wise
The Big Short: Inside the Doomsday Machine

The Help I don't go in for the touchy-feely nonsense too often, but too many people told me they liked this book, and it is good.
Faces in Time: A Time Travel Thriller I discovered this book locally because this guy is a New Orleans author, and I'm a NOLA native. It's a great time travel story that takes place in New Orleans and Los Angeles.
Lies the Government Told You: Myth, Power, and Deception in American History Sad but interesting.
No Apology: The Case for American Greatness A good counterbalance to the book above.
House Rules: A Novel
A Patriot's History of the United States: From Columbus's Great Discovery to the War on Terror
Son of Hamas: A Gripping Account of Terror, Betrayal, Political Intrigue, and Unthinkable Choices Not for the lighthearted.
Dead in the Family: A Sookie Stackhouse Novel (Sookie Stackhouse/True Blood)
Not Without Hope
The Survivors Club: The Secrets and Science that Could Save Your Life
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter Too bizarre to pass up.
Switch: How to Change Things When Change Is Hard I stay away from self-help fluff, but this is a decent book.
Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang
Game Change: Obama and the Clintons, McCain and Palin, and the Race of a Lifetime
Final Fantasy VIII: The Official Strategy Guide Not a game but a coffee table book for the gamer in us all.
No One Would Listen: A True Financial Thriller
The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks
Citizens of London: The Americans Who Stood with Britain in Its Darkest, Finest Hour
Outliers: The Story of Success
Payback Time: Making Big Money Is the Best Revenge!
Let the Great World Spin: A Novel
The Last Song
Three Cups of Tea: One Man's Mission to Promote Peace . . . One School at a Time
The Lost Symbol (Robert Langdon, No. 3)
A Reliable Wife
Shutter Island
Mockingjay (The Final Book of The Hunger Games)
The Big Short: Inside the Doomsday Machine
The Happiness Project: Or, Why I Spent a Year Trying to Sing in the Morning, Clean My Closets, Fight Right, Read Aristotle, and Generally Have More Fun
Sarah's KeyDear John
The Death and Life of the Great American School System: How Testing and Choice Are Undermining Education another sad but interesting read.
NurtureShock: New Thinking About Children This one and the book above it are certainly related.
You Say More Than You Think: Use the New Body Language to Get What You Want!, the 7-day Plan
I Am Nujood, Age 10 and Divorced
Willie Mays: The Life, The Legend
Courage and Consequence: My Life as a Conservative in the Fight
Second Sight: An Intuitive Psychiatrist Tells Her Extraordinary Story and Shows You How To Tap Your Own Inner Wisdom
Change Your Brain, Change Your Body: Use Your Brain to Get and Keep the Body You Have Always Wanted
Savor the Moment (The Brides Quartet)
The Omnivore's Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals
Olive Kitteridge: Fiction
The Catcher in the Rye So this book's only hot again bc Salinger died, but I haven't read it since since high school and am going to re-read it.
The Politician: An Insider's Account of John Edwards's Pursuit of the Presidency and the Scandal That Brought Him Down
The Postmistress
The China Study: The Most Comprehensive Study of Nutrition Ever Conducted and the Startling Implications for Diet, Weight Loss and Long-term Health
