Top 3 Mistakes when exercising your midsection! Part 1

Mistake #1: Doing isolated crunch exercises

This “one-area-at-a-time” movement simply doesn't stimulate enough muscle fibers to build lean muscle or expend enough energy to maximize your calorie burn for a toner midsection.

If you want lean and tone muscle while burning fat so you can get serious definition, you need to perform exercises that stimulate as many muscles and expend as much energy as possible in the shortest period of time for your midsection.

Mistake #2 Working out with Ab machines

Fancy machines may make you think this must work my midsection the best. In reality, about the only thing they're good for is for sitting down in between sets. The problem is machines alter the way your body naturally moves and restrict your range of motion. This severely limits your ability to fully activate all of your muscles that means less fat burning and less muscle definition. Worse yet, machines can cause excessive strain on your back muscles and joints when performing these ab exercises, leading to nagging injuries.

Mistake #3: Repeating the same workout routines over and over!

Repeating the same workouts over and over is a surefire way to preventing any results. When it comes to your workouts, if you want to keep making progress and keep seeing changes in your body, you've got to start changing exercises up so your midsection doesn’t adapt resulting in better results quicker. Helps prevent plateaus in your workouts!

AbSmart Tip:

If you want flat abs, mix up your ab routine by alternating movements quickly during your workout. Mix your sets and repetitions up in the same workout for better results. These are just a few of many to mix up your abdominal exercises to make it less routine resulting in better results!
