Hi Northern,-I'm interested in how you would like the Israeli/Palestinian conflict resolved-Do you support the 2 state solution, with Israel returning to the '49 Armistice Line, except for land traded for land some settlements are on, plus whatever is worked out to provide contiguity between the West Bank & Gaza?-The one state solution, favored by Jeff Halper & Makdisi, where all the land is incorporated into one state & everyone is a full citizen with one vote?-That new idea floating around, in which Palestine gets a state as in the 2 state option, but the entire region adopts an E.U. type system, so people from any of the states are free to travel, work, study & live in any of the others, including Israel?-"Transfering" all the Palestinians somewhere else?-Also, what do you think about East Jerusalem going to the Pals for their capitol?

>>i believe in a strong Palestinian state.<<
I believe in a strong Disneyland too. Tell us how out of your beliefs we could establish a strong Palestinian state, from the ashes of what is left of historic Palestine? 1 day ago

let me get one thing clear,
so far, many posts have been mentioning that Judaism is an ethnicity?????? last time i checked it is a religion. another thing: the major issue with the whole Palestinian- Israeli conflicts is not Muslim vs. Jew vs. Christian...it is the original Palestinians who lived in the land for thousands of years (Muslim, Christians, Jews...) vs. the disgusting hate and vicious crimes of the Zionists who occupy Palestine and brainwash many Jews into this sad war that could be avoided. A Zionists is NOT, i repeat NOT, the same as a Jew, i have many Jewish friends who do not agree with the actions and crimes committed by the Israeli zionist government. Zionism will meet its destruction in its current path, and soon. 1 day ago

If you go back to the political discourse in the US to the early 1950s, you see Zionist meant the European Jews who founded the Israel state and were from the very start mixed up in colonialist/post-colonialist geopolitical intrigues with Europe and the US. It meant a Jew who was strongly nationalistic about the Israel project. Extremist actions lead to the term being associated with a type of extremism, but given the roots of the movement and its predictable, human responses to some very terrible history, it was perhaps always inherently extremist. It is sort of like an American saying he loves his country above all things else, so this makes him uniquely competent to criticize his country (because he really doesn't want anyone else to criticize his country, nor does he want anything to shake his belief in his country, right or wrong).
When someone tells me they are a reasonable zionist, I always say, be reasonable and stop being a zionist. 2 days ago

I'm all for free speech, no time for Northern's "Kook alert", etc. posts. You like them, you read them.
Little paranoid there, L. King? Why is it that everyone in the world knows the true history of the 48' war except the Israelis?(or should I say the Zionist cult) Add More Products To IsraelExplore More In The CommunityProducts (2,166) Discussions (4) Lists & Guides (138) Images (1) Contributors (2,401)Products Tagged Israel Are Also Tagged |
