2.0 out of 5 stars Not that great!
I really needed bibs for my 7 month old drooling boy. Based on the reviews, I thought these were going to be just what I was looking for. Terry cloth with plastic sandwiched in between for dryness. Although they do keep his shirt somewhat dry; they are not soft at all. It's almost like putting sandpaper under his chin. That can't feel good! I really don't like these...

My baby girl started teething around four months old and drooled like crazy. She would develop little rashes on her chest because the drool would soak through her bibs and down through her clothing to her skin. I searched high and low at our local stores for bibs but could only find the regular bibs (not water proof) or the ones I found were huge - much more for like a toddlers size. Anyhow, when I found these I thought I'd give them a try. Though they are somewhat plain they are great. They have a plastic backing so that drool, milk, or food can not penetrate and get onto clothing or soak through to skin. Since we started using these my daughters skin stays dry and we are not constantly changing her clothes throughout the day. She is now 7 months old and we couldn't be more pleased with them. One suggestion - for longer life, do not tumble dry. Hand wash after each use and lay flat to air dry. The dryer may burn/melt the backing or actually shrink the bib. I would recommend these to all.

I like these bibs but I bought them for my newborn. There was no sizing information on the amazon page, but when they arrived the packaging said "Stage 2-3, 3-12 mo." I just wished this information was available when I had purchased the item!

Not the cutest bibs since they're solid colors, but these are my favorites. I have a spitter-upper who is turning into a drooler at 4 months, and plain terry bibs donn't keep the clothes dry, they just slow down the wet for about 30 seconds, and I go through a ton of bibs a day. These bibs can go on quickly facing with direction since terry is on both sides, and don't totally protect clothes, but definitely slow down the wet. The terry holds up well in the wash too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect!, April 2, 2010

These bibs are absolutely perfect for my 7 weeks old daughter:

Very absorbent,
Waterproof - in case of emergency, I just change the bib and all her clothes stay perfectly clean and dry,
Perfect fit - covers most of her shoulders and tummy,
Thin - does not irritate her chin and neck,
Dries fast so you can use it again in the next feeding if you wish.

Also they are soft, pretty and reversible.

Love them, wish I had them from the day she was born.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for droolers!!, April 1, 2010
This review is from: green sprouts 5 Pack Basic Waterproof Absorbent Terry Bibs, Girls (Baby Product)
My baby drools A LOT and these bibs are great. They are easy to get on and off, the waterproof material is in the middle layer so no plastic touches the baby, they wash easily and dry quick too. I air dry them after washing to keep them new.

These bibs are an improvement over standard bibs for sure. They are waterproof except for the piping around the edges, and this is where the problem lies. If you have a big drooler like me the edges are going to get wet a little and when this happens the moisture carries through to the terry cloth on the other side. If they had waterproof piping I would give them 4.5 stars. Personally, I prefer a popper to the velcro, I have to make sure they are closed in the wash or they damage other items. It is also a little annoying having to fish through the clothes before I put them in the dryer to make sure I pull all of these bibs out when everything else can be dried.

5.0 out of 5 stars in love with a bib......, February 2, 2010

A friend of mine suggested these bibs after I spied her son wearing one.....I couldnt wait to order them and was not dissappointed when i used them. They are lightweight and waterproof - the perfect combination. Next to using a plastic covered bib these are the best cloth/waterproof i could find.....I am actually going to order another set and start getting rid of my regular bibs!

Our baby drools quite a bit (day care says she drools more than anyone they've ever seen).

These bibs are some of the best for drool:
1) inexpensive
2) water proof
3) durable, they last through many washes

That being said, the Carter snap ones are better in the sense that they fasten on the side (so you can put them on w/ one hand) and the material is sturdier - the snap won't wear out like the velcro eventually does. They are pricier however, so if you need 40-50 bibs like us, stick with these.

Also, they have fabric on both sides, so if drool does manage to get past the bib, the other side can soak up some of it.

One word of advice, you can extend the life of the bib and save time by fastening the bibs before they go into the wash (otherwise they stick to the rest of your clothes.)

Very happy with these bibs. They do not soak through like most terry cloth bibs do. Will recommend to my pregnant friends. Cute colors as well ;)
