I had them for about 2-3 weeks and they worked amazing! best weightlifting equipment I ever had. Only problem like everyone else have stated is that they are poorly made. I would use them for shoulder presses, weighted dips/pullups, bench press, and for deadlifts and squats. i'm really disappointed that the padding is tearing apart on mine, but i love them so much that i'm getting another pair until i can find a better replacement. any recommendations?

These grips are really great!
No heat, no sweat, no blisters, and the callusses are gone.
The first pair lasted about 5 months (I do crossfit 4-5 times a week) and I just got my 2nd pair. Received an Email from the company that the new production is even more durable which make me even happier with Gripads.
Highly recommended! Great product!

Pros:

- Covers the proximal interphalangeal joint area (the joints closest to the knuckles) to reduce calluses associated with heavy pulling exercises like weighted lat pulls, or deadlifts. This is the area most weight lifting gloves do not cover.

- Quicker to put on and take off than gloves.

- Rubberized grip does not slip.

- Pad does cover palm area when your hand is wrapped around a bar.

Cons:

- Because the thumb does not receive any padding, it takes a little bit of getting used to initially when you are doing dumbbell presses. I rarely use gloves for those anyway so being able to take them off quickly and put them back on between supersets of pushes and pulls is convenient.

I recommend searching for gripad on google and looking at the video on the website to figure out how to properly put on the grips. One of the previous reviewers mentioned threading your thumb through the grips. You do not thread your thumbs. The thumbs are left free. The biggest loop is for your index finger, then following that goes your middle finger and ring finger.

If you have small hands, don't bother with these. I have small hands and with these on, I couldn't get a good grip around the bar. I think if your hands were bigger, you may find them helpful.

Having seen a fitness club member in Richland, WA using, what appeared to be "brass knuckles" while weight training with hand held "dumb bells", I asked him what was on his hands.

We showed me a well used pair of protective palm pads [sold online as Gripads] that he claimed he had used for years with great success. They provided cushioning for his palm's underlying grasping muscles while retaining a firm grasp for the hand held bars and weights he wanted to use. They were called gripads and directed me to a website he called [...].

Amazon.com was an available purchase site and having used Amazon.com many times over the past 10-20 years, I ordered a pair which arrived in about 4 days. Note: Amazon.com is located in Seattle which is about 200 miles west of Richland.

I've used them for about a month and can unequivocally state they have lessened the discomfort of weight training using my hands significantly, especially having developed osteoarthritis in the thumb/wrist joints in both hands.

The only limitation I have seen is the "one size fits all" does not fit even half way onto the hands of a tall neighbor who uses large to extra large gloves. A choice of small/medium/large options would allow those with large hands to obtain a decent fit.

Sincerely, Langbein [my paternal grandmother's maiden name; German translated as long legs]

This WAS a great product that protected my hands from ripping on pullups and toes to bar. Emphasis on WAS...the left palm neoprene ripped the 3rd time that I used them

Item works as advertised. What more could you ask for. Comfortable fit and helps with hand fatigue while doing pull-ups.

This product is great for pushing but not for pulling. However, it may be that because of this that my forearms are strengthening. Only time will tell. For the price, it's great.
