4.0 out of 5 stars Laugh-bit by Dittany Henbit, August 9, 2006
By
Charlotte MacLeod, whether writing as Alisa Craig or under her own name, is one of my favorite writers of contemporary cozy mysteries. The characters are lovably whacky, the dialog is witty, and the plot keeps interests focused while the narration entertains you. The zany character names alone keep me turning the page to see who shows up next. Here Miss Dittany Henbit and her fellow Grub-and-Stakers fight against those who would turn their Enchanted Mountain into a subdivision. If you are looking for a bunch of laughs between more weighty tomes, you can't do better than this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Grub and Stakers Move a Mountain, March 24, 2000
This review is from: The grub-and-stakers move a mountain
An excellent start to a wonderful series, Move a Mountain has humor, humanity and characters that are as whacky as they are likeable.
