Alanis is back with one of the best singles of 2012.
"Guardian" is pop-rock and radio ready, combining slow, luring verses and a booming chorus. Musically, it doesn't offer anything new for the singer-songwriter, but it features classic Alanis lyrics, phrasing, tone and vocals that remind of her Jagged Little Pill singles.
Few who have come since Alanis in '95 offer consistantly satisfying work, and I'm sure her "Havok and Bright Lights" album will not dissapoint!

I've been a major Alanis fan since her Jagged Little Pill days. I was super excited when I heard she was coming out with a new album. This lead single certainly doesn't disappoint. It's a strong catchy, radio friendly song. I think it was a good decision as a lead single. I will admit her last albums didn't have a strong lead single, but this one is amazing!! She never disappoints. I see this as a hit.

guardian by alanis morissette
Nice to see her recording again. Beautiful song with a lot of meaning. I have an autistic son who needs an angel to watch over him. I'm his guardian for the rest of my life.

Great song and artist
Such a beautiful arrangement AND it sounds timeless; the first time we heard the song on the radio the melody and words pulled us in...and we didn't want the song to end!
