HairKutt is a documentary in the same light of scared straight a program that was used to show kids real life in prison. This documentary shows the pain the and ills of drug abuse and the love that these three guys have for their friend Bryant Johnson. I have shown this documentary to my children the youngest who is 11 and the oldest 15 they were touched by the love in this documentary. Every kid in america needs to see HairKuTT.

I work in a treatment center and purchased this movie to use for group discussions. It is a good story. Overall I enjoyed the movie and the story line. However the group that I showed it to felt it was slow. I agree that it was slow to develop but also realize that there was not much more to the story. It it difficult to spend several minutes watching the man lean out of bed to throw up in the garbage can but that is the reality of withdrawal. I think the reality of the movie makes it worth showing. It shows the reality of addiction, withdrawal, and the challenges of getting sober. I would recommend this as a tool to use with those struggling to get sober.

This was a very interesting documentary about the commitment of friendship when your friend is experiencing an addiction that is destroying their lives. It also brings awareness to the struggle of addiction and a clear understanding of the cycle of addiction.
